I have always been inspired by landscape images generated with software like Terragen and Vue. The amount of objects and trees those programs are able to handle just seemed impossible with general 3D software like 3ds Max.

I still remember placing grass patches and trees by hand, it took forever and once you reached a thousand instances the program would start to really slow down. Needless to say that when we switched to Forest Pack I felt like I was in "scene assembly" heaven.

We at Burn 3D have been doing a lot of big developments in the studio using Forest Pack since then, but I wanted to see what Forest Pack is really capable of, to see if it could handle big nature scenes.
