ZAN Studio shares its wonderful Europaallee project with us, created as an in-house exercise for the team to learn RailClone. As well as sharing their fantastic images, ZAN studio has also generously made the RailClone source files available to download for free on their blog. To get them. visit this page for the Max Dudler building, and this page to get the David Chipperfield building.
I really wanted to learn RailClone and I was looking for a study case, where I can use it. While I was visiting Zürich I found two amazing buildings in the new area called Europaallee from Max Dudler and David Chipperfield. Our trainee Kryštof modelled basic modules and objects and I started playing with it in Railclone. We tried to use it in different examples, from railroad tracks, lamps, facades to interiors. Whole projects were important for us to learn how to use modularity and parametric design in our workflow. Even materials had as many parametric textures as possible. It's full of parametric noise, Corona distance and ambient occlusion maps, but still pretty simple setup.
